Hi Everyone,

I know it has been months since I sent out any updates through the blog...a lot has happened since the last update....Tristan came home on May 21, was home for 3 days and went back to the hospital, where he has been ever since. He had Graft versus Host disease and it was a lot of vomiting and diarhea...he did that for almost two months. Graft versus host means that his immune system was fighting the new immune system but as of today, the new immune system is winning and he is doing much better...hoping that he will come home sometime next week. He has not had real food for at least two months or more....
I am spending the night tonight, so that his Mom can go home for the week-end. They both miss not being at home and are really longing for the day that they will be home.

Tristan will probably not go back to school until maybe January, it all depends on how well he does once he gets home, starts a new regimen of his new life. We are so grateful that he has this chance for a life that will be cancer free.....

I'm sorry if I left anyone hanging out there wondering what was going on with his journey.

To the gentleman whose son also had Birketts and sent me an email, I did try to email you back but then so much happened after that, that I must apologize to you for no communication. I hope everything is going better for your son.
